Why I Started This Site
Since graduated from Ohio University in June 2007, I have picked up a full-time job in web design and come into a bit larger entertainment budget than I'm used to. Since I never seem to see all the movies I want to, I figured that could all change this year as I watch a new movie every weekend I can. Plus, I have Blockbuster Total Access, so I'm watching anywhere from two to five movies each week. And I'm loving every minute of it.

As I was watching all these movies, it occured to me that one of my high school aspirations (and actually my primary job on the school newspaper) was to be a professional entertainment columnist, mainly centering around movie reviews. Not only that, but I love to discuss movies with anyone who shares an interest, even people with completely different taste. So the hunt for a good domain name began.

This looks like just a movie review site, but that's just the beginning. I'm hoping that soon the forum will flourish, people will submit their own reviews in the hopes of being included as a guest reviewer, and other projects I have in mind can start here. One idea I have could actually shake the internet entertainment community - but I can't do it alone. That's where you come in. I thank you for taking an interest, and I hope to have you back as my little site grows into something that many more can call their own.

Ratings
I use a 7-point rating system, which I picked for two reasons. First, it's what behavioral scientists use on surveys, so it has practical use. Second, it gives me plenty of range without limiting my choices. A 5 is a 5, not a 4, unlike a 10-point system which would make you wonder what the difference between a 7 and an 8 is.

Guide to Parents
I firmly believe that young people are influenced by the images and behaviors they are exposed to. Therefore, I try to let parents or guardians know what to expect from a film at the end of each review. This can also be used by adults to decide which films are appropriate from themselves as well.

Schedule
The "Tentative Schedule" on the left is just meant to give you an idea of what films I'm planning on seeing, but things change. Sometimes, I'll change the order, change which films I want to see, or take a weekend off for some reason. But no matter what, I'll always keep the reviews coming, and I'll be watching movies of all kinds to serve as much of my audience as I can. If there's a specific movie you'd like to request, you can email me with your request, and I will take it under consideration. I can't promise I'll do it, but I can promise that I will read your email and look into it.
