1. What does NickTek do?
NickTek Productions (NTP) produces private art publically: online comics, feature films, shorts, and literature. This is an extension of Adam Thede's portfolio/blog site, FanOfFilm.com.
  2. Does NTP finance these projects?
NTP is technically a private organization, but it's not a for-profit company. It operates only as much as it is supported by the public: you. Support comes in many forms, from monetary donations to advertising to loaned equipment to anything else that helps the organization create and promote its art.
  3. How do I benefit from supporting NTP?
You reap direct benefits in a number of ways. First of all, you get your name or the name of your organization here on the site and attached to the project you supported. For example, if you give money or equipment needed to produce a short film, your name will appear on the page for that film and in the credits of the film whenever it airs.

Secondly, your generosity will not be forgotten. If you run a restaurant or bar, we'll return as paying customers, and we'll bring our friends. If you run a technology shop, you'll be the first place we go for our personal needs. Not to mention that we'll keep your name and send you the finished product.

Finally, you'll get the satisfaction of having contributed to the arts. In this corporate-controlled world, many young, talented artists are often unable to do extraordinary things simply because they don't have the opportunity. You're helping turn that around, and you make a big difference in the future of the artists you support. Sincerely, thank you.
  4. I'm an actor/director/editor/technician/artist/etc. Are there positions available?
NTP needs dedicated people like you! Our films need actors and a crew; our comics need artists; every production needs people to execute it. If you have a skill or asset, even if you're not sure if it will help, contact us and ask. Chances are we could use you.
  5. How do I benefit from being involved in a NickTek production?
First of all, anyone who fills a position with NTP, no matter how small, will be credited appropriately on the site and in the respective project. That looks great on a resume or grad school application. Plus, if you work on a film that is accepted into a festival, that is grounds for obtaining an IMDb.com profile page, which is helpful in finding more work in the film industry. Also, your work will be posted in whole or in part right here on the site, where prospective employers and the general public can see your abilities showcased.
  6. Does NickTek accept submissions?
If you have a great idea or an amazing script, let us know! We are often on the lookout for great creative opportunities.
  7. I like what I see here and want to hire your organization or some of its members for some work. Are you available?
Absolutely. Just contact us and we'll be happy to respond right away with details on whatever you need.
